The Gardens And Yard Of The New House

This collection of photos will show all the changes and work we will be putting into our new yard.
We just bought a new house and the yard had not been taken care of for several years. It needs ALOT of work. So this page will be a photo tour of all of those projects.

This is the Forsythia Bush in the front yard. We also planted 33 Forsythia shoots along the road in the front yard.	This is one of the metal kettles we have thru out the yard. I have this one filled with Spring flowers.
This is the small flower bed I put along our front porch.	It is hard to see but we planted 12 little Hemlocks out in the front yard.
This is a rock garden that I started out in the front yard. It is now complete. I will get an updated photo soon.
The yard was such a mess Randy had to break out the Bush Hog to reclaim some of the yard. He was able to clear a 20ft X 60ft section so far. You should see all the Tiger Lillies coming up there now.
This is one of my beds along the side of the house, it was taken in late February.	This is the same bed, the photo was taken the last week of March. Alot has come up.

This was the first rock garden I put around one of our large trees in the yard. Now it is really growing.	I was so pleased with how this turned out I have made 3 more in the yard.
This is that same bed taken 4/11/02 as you can see it is really filling in nicely.	This is another metal kettle in our yard. This one is Iris surrounded by Hostas.
This is the newest flower bed I have finished on the side of the driveway.	This is the bed out in the front yard finished. This picture was taken 4/11/02.
This is an update photo of the side of the house. Taken 4/11/02 you can see our tulips and daffodils are really opening now.	This is our strawberry bed. It is hard to see but there is 25 strawberry plants in there.
Between the two pieces of wood are 40 asparagus plants. Behind that is the rest of our veggie garden. We put in two rows of corn seed on 4/11/02. The rest will be plants we go buy.	This is the house. As you can see I got my some of my hanging baskets and flowers on the porch. And you can kinda see the flower beds.
With a new house comes new toys/tools, check out the one we got on 4/12/02.	This thing will take some getting used to but it does a good job on the garden.
